Azienda Agricola Adanti is one of the historic wineries in the Montefalco area of Umbria, famous for the production of protected wines such as Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso. It extends over 30 hectares of vineyards, mostly located on the hillsides of Arquata and Colcimino, renowned since antiquity for the production of fine wines and olive oil.

Alvaro's Mastery
In 1977, Domenico Adanti approached his friend Alvaro Palini, who at the time was living in Paris,
where he had the chance to discover the great French wines of the time, asking him to supervise
the winemaking. He soon became a key figure in the estate, a legendary cellarman and one of the
most fascinating personalities
in Italian winemaking, a legend of the Sagrantino territory.
The skilful Alvaro successfully unleashed the majesty of this mysterious grape by reducing the output of the plants and altering the techniques so as to achieve a better balance between fruit, tannins and acids, a wine that slowly matures in oak barrels and continues to age elegantly in the bottle.
